A Better Insulation Company

RADIANT BARRIER INSULATION KEEPS HOMES COOLER IN THE SUMMER, WARMER IN THE WINTER.

We are all amazed at how a Thermos bottle keeps hot liquids hot and cold beverages cold. What if there was an attic insulation that worked the same way? There is, and you can see it at Sacramento's Fall Home Show this Friday through Sunday at Cal Expo.

The experts at A Better Insulation Company will be showing off Radiant Barrier Insulation for your attic. Installed in homes throughout Northern California, this thin, aluminized "space blanket" material keeps homes cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter.

"I have to admit, I was skeptical about putting any kind of 'tinfoil' in my attic when someone recommended A Better Insulation, but what a difference," wrote one satisfied customer. "At the sales presentation, when I put that little piece of Radiant Barrier to my face and I felt how much of my own body heat was reflecting back, I couldn't believe it. That stuff works, period. And now that I have it in my house, my air conditioner actually shuts off for a while, even during the hottest days! That was unheard of in this house before. A Better Insulation Company knows their stuff, the price is right, and the crew was great!"

Dennis Crozier and his staff will be answering all your home insulating questions, along with a demonstration of their Radiant Barrier Insulation, at the A Better Insulation Company booth, located in Expo Center Building 2.

Cultured Marble Products, Ltd.

A Bath That's Elegant And Easy To Maintain

A beautiful bath is wonderful to behold...if the tile isn't cracked, the grout is scrubbed clean and tough water stains aren't evident on the porcelain. The folks at Cultured Marble Products, Ltd. say those endless hours are over. "Scrubbing unsightly grout lines, repairing cracks or cleaning stains are a thing of the past when you replace your old shower with gleaming new wall panels of cultured marble, onyx or granite from us," says company President Colleen Gerard.

Cultured Marble Products, Ltd. has been making beautiful, easy care baths a reality for area homeowners since 1972. And they listen to what you have to say. "We welcome our customers' creative ideas," says Gerard. "We believe that our customers' input has been fundamental in the development of new products that are versatile, distinctive and naturally appealing."

They offer a wide variety of colors, patterns, textures and accessories to best fit your decorating style. Among their latest offerings: TruStone, which employs high resolution digital imaging infused into ordinary cultured marble. Beautiful images of granite, marble, travertine as well as scenic panoramas can be applied to regular cultured marble to produce a high-end look for tub and shower walls, vanity tops, splashes and more.

ReStore: The Best Kept Secret in Town

If you own a home or rental properties you are probably always in the middle of a fixer-upper project. Coming to your service could be the best kept secret in town: the Sacramento Habitat for Humanity's ReStore.

"Basically, we sell to the public new and partially used construction materials," says the ReStore director, Bob Farley. "The discounts ranging from 30 to 50% and sometimes more, if there is a sale, which is often."

The Sacramento Habitat for Humanity ReStore stocks a wide array of products, ranging from paint, vinyl siding, appliances, wood moldings, doors, windows, toilets, sinks, ceramic tile, grout and electrical. "The materials come from many sources locally and nationally and represent donations from manufacturers, retailers' distributors and even individuals", says Farley.

All of the materials would have gone into the local landfill if they were not diverted by Habitat for Humanity, for the community to reuse. "The operation is self sustaining," explains Farley. "The proceeds from sales allows Sacramento Habitat for Humanity to cover their overhead. This allows us to focus 100% of every dollar donated locally by sponsors to building homes here in Sacramento County. Not one sponsored cent goes to overhead."

Help a good cause, help the environment and help the community while saving some pain in your wallet. If you need building materials, stop by the Habitat for Humanity/ ReStore booth in Expo Center Building 4 Friday through Sunday during Sacramento's Fall Home Show. And if you have remodeling questions, the National Association of Remodeling Industry booth is adjacent, offering Show attendees a big opportunity to save big money.

Kitchen Craft

Cut Cooking Time By One-Third with Kitchen Craft Cookware

Your kitchen is the heart of your home. And the folks at Kitchen Craft want to help you enjoy the time you spend preparing nutritious meals almost as much as savoring every morsel on your plate.

Kitchen Craft cookware is created by a unique merging of five layers of metal through an exclusive patented process. Heat spreads smoothly and quickly - without hot spots - and spreads evenly across the bottom of each pan. A core of gentle heating carbon steel between two layers of stainless steel carries the heat up the sidewalls. Foods cook naturally in a complete circle of heat. This allows for even heat distribution, and can cut cooking time by one-third. The five-ply construction allows heat to spread smoothly and quickly without hot spots, spreading evenly across the bottom of each pan.

Kitchen Craft cookware is durable, easy to clean and compact to store. Their "Water Seal" covers prevent the escape of nutrients and allows for minimum moisture cooking, preserving the flavor and color of the food, as well.

Healthy eating begins with quality cookware from Kitchen Craft. Visit their booth in Expo Building 3 at Sacramento's Fall Home Show.
